Terms & Conditions
Principles guiding our authentic Vedic ceremonial officiating, havan kund safety, scriptural study, and spiritual fellowship at Arya Samaj Seattle.
1. Acceptance of Terms & Sacred Covenant
By visiting Hindu Vedic Sanskar (hinduvedicsanskar.com), submitting ceremony booking inquiries, attending classes, or downloading sacred scriptures, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions. These terms establish a transparent understanding between devotees, host families, Acharya Varun Dev Sharma, and Arya Samaj Seattle.
2. Authentic Vedic Ceremonial Officiating
All Vedic Sanskars (including Vivaha, Griha Pravesh, Namkaran, Upanayana, and Chudakarma) and Yajnas are conducted by Acharya Varun Dev Sharma (Darshanacharya (Master of Philosophy), Certified Yoga Guide) strictly in accordance with authentic Vedic scripture (Vedas, Upanishads, and Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati's Sanskar Vidhi):
Scriptural Integrity & Bilingual Delivery
Ceremonies include exact Vedic mantra recitations accompanied by comprehensive English and Hindi philosophical explanations so every participant understands the spiritual significance of the sacred vows.
Samagri & Sacred Preparation
A custom samagri checklist is coordinated prior to each ceremony (pure cow ghee, medicinal havan herbs, dry samagri, camphor, coconut, and kalash items) to ensure smooth execution.
3. Fire Safety & Consecrated Agni Kund Protocols
Because Vedic rituals center upon the consecrated Agni Kund (fire altar), the host family and venue agree to observe the following fundamental safety guidelines:
- Ventilation & Detectors: For indoor residential or hall havan ceremonies, adequate cross-ventilation must be maintained, and smoke alarms in immediate proximity must be managed in accordance with local venue rules.
- Stable Flooring & Clearance: The havan kund must be positioned on a heat-resistant, fireproof mat or base, clear of drapery, carpets, and flammable decorations.
- Child & Guest Supervision: Active fire alters require responsible adult supervision of children and pets at all times throughout the ceremony.
4. Booking Inquiries, Rescheduling & Voluntary Dakshina
- Scheduling & Muhurta: Ceremony dates are subject to Acharya Ji's availability and auspicious planetary timings. Submitting a website form initiates a consultation and does not automatically bind a date until confirmed directly.
- Rescheduling: If family circumstances require rescheduling, devotees are kindly requested to notify Acharya Ji as early as possible so dates can be adjusted in the temple calendar.
- Dakshina / Honorarium: Offerings and dakshina for ceremonies, classes, and travel honor Acharya Ji's dedicated lifetime ministry and support the charitable non-profit operations of Arya Samaj Seattle.
5. Vedic Digital Literature & Educational Materials
Classical scriptures and commentaries provided in our digital literature repository (including Satyarth Prakash, Rigvedadi Bhashya Bhumika, and Aryabhivinaya) are provided for non-commercial personal study, family swadhyaya, and spiritual enrichment. Users may not republish or redistribute these materials for commercial resale.
Vedic rituals, yajnas, astrological muhurtas, and philosophical guidance are spiritual and cultural religious traditions offered in utmost good faith. They do not constitute formal legal, financial, or medical advice. Hindu Vedic Sanskar and Arya Samaj Seattle shall not be liable for incidental venue-related issues, travel delays due to weather or transit disruptions, or unintended third-party interruptions.
